MMA Announces Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarships for Minority Students

Maulana Azad Education Foundation, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India is offering financial support to school going girls belonging to any minority community for their continuous gap-free education.

Last date to submit applications is October 31, 2017. To check the eligibility and application procedures follow the proceedings: 

Eligibility:

  • Girl students belonging to any minority community i.e., Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Parsis.
  • The applicant must be studying in class 9- 12.
  • The applicant must have secured minimum 50% or equivalent in aggregate in previous class with family income not more than INR 2L.

Reward:

Students of class 9 and 10 will receive INR 10,000 and class 11 and 12 will be given INR 12,000 in two equal instalments towards their admission and tuition fee.

About:

The Scheme of "Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship" for Girl Students belonging to the Minority Communities was earlier known as "Maulana Azad National Scholarship" Scheme. It was started by the Foundation in academic year 2003-04. The main purpose of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to meritorious girl students belonging to national minorities, who cannot continue their education due to lack of financial support.
