IIT Bhubaneswar In Collaboration With KIMS Hospital Organises Medical Camp For Students

Medical Unit of IIT Bhubaneswar in collaboration with KIMS Hospital organises the Health Camp for students in its campus. The Health Camp was inaugurated by R.V. Raja Kumar, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar.

From the time of its inception, IIT Bhubaneswar has been consistent in its commitment to offer comprehensive medical care and wellbeing of its students.

Students were checked by a team of medicine specialists, gynaecologists, physiotherapist, ophthalmologist and dental surgeon from KIMS Hospital, Bhubaneswar. A series of tests viz. Free Blood Sugar, ECG (on doctor’s advice), Eye Check Up were undertaken.

Speaking on the occasion, R.V. Raja Kumar, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar appreciated the initiative by the Medical Unit of IIT Bhubaneswar headed by Dr M A Khan, in collaboration with KIMS Hospital and said, "Students often owing to their immersive study schedules and paucity of time often neglect their heath. Taking the above into consideration, we at IIT Bhubaneswar organized the health camp in the best interest of our student community. We believe that this programme is a timely preventive health check-up mechanism and it can help to minimize health risks and contribute towards creation of a healthy student community."

The camp witnessed active participation from a total of 247 students at IIT Bhubaneswar.
