Haryana State Government Recognises Rishihood As An ‘Impact Oriented University’

Rishihood University, has officially been recognised as a private state university by the Govt. of Haryana. Established under The Haryana Private Universities (Amendment) Act, 2020, Rishihood University is the 24th private state university, developing world-class infrastructure and facilities spread in over 25-acre Campus, in the education hub of Sonipat, Delhi NCR.  

As a part of its application to the state government, Rishihood had submitted a comprehensive plan to address relevant details pertaining to courses, infrastructure, faculty, admission process, amongst other details. The University is guided by the core philosophy of creating a learning environment which fosters an inter-disciplinary study model. It will be driven by the revival of the Gurukul system of education, adapted for modern-day needs to ensure effective learning outcomes, holistic development and industry-ready skillsets.  

In the first phase of commencement, Rishihood University has introduced the School of Creativity, School of Education, School of Entrepreneurship and School of Healthcare. The university has begun the admissions process for the first batch of students looking to apply for UG & PG Programs. It has also recently launched India’s India’s First Master’s in Public Leadership Program. Admissions process and commencement of UG and PG courses is already underway, slated to begin by 1st September 2020.  

Some of the esteemed board of advisors include Swaminathan Gurumurthy, Chartered Accountant and member on board of Reserve Bank of India; Ajay Gupta, CEO of Bachpan Play Schools (chain of over 1000 playschools) and Academic Heights Public Schools (chain of over 100 formal K12 schools); Maj General (retd) DN Khurana who also continues to be on the board of Indian Institute of Management (Lucknow), Dr Harsh Mahajan, President of the Indian Radiology & Imaging Association (IRIA). Other prominent advisors include HP Mangla, Entrepreneur and Philanthropist; JK Garg, industrialist and philanthropist, Dr Madhukar Gupta (IAS), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Public Enterprises and Heavy Industries, Government of India; Dr Mahesh Gupta, radiologist and healthcare entrepreneur; R N Prasher (IAS) former chief advisor to the Chief Minister of Haryana; Rakesh Aggarwal, architect, educationist and philanthropist; Ritu Beri,  Fashion Designer; Saroj Khan, Bollywood Choreographer; Dr Shenoy Robinson, healthcare strategist and entrepreneur; Sunita Kohli, interior designer & architect; and Tilak Chandna, Chartered Accountant.
