Govt. Of India Offers Monetary Aid As Fixed Deposit For Girl Students

Department of School Education and Literacy, Government of India has introduced the scholarship scheme with an intent to establish an enabling environment toreduce the drop-outs and to promote the enrolment of girl children, mainly belonging to SC or STcommunities in secondary schools.

Last date to submit applications is October 31, 2017. To check the eligibility and application procedures follow the proceedings: 

Eligibility:

  • The applicant must be an unmarried girl, less than 16 years of age as on March 31on joining class 9.
  • Candidate must be enrolled in class 9, belonging to SC or ST community.
  • Candidates who have passed class 8 exam from Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, irrespective of whether they belong to SC, ST or not, and enroll in class 9 in a State Government, Government-aided, and Local Bodyschools are eligible to apply.

Reward:

INR 3000 will be deposited in the name of eligible unmarried girls as fixed deposits upon enrolment in class 9who are entitled to withdraw it along with the interest on clearing Class 10 and attaining 18 years of age.

Application:

Applications are attended online only at national scholarship portal.
