Future Employee Should Be A Learning Machine: Darlie Kosh

IMS-Design and Innovation Academy (DIA), held its annual convocation where Dr. Darlie O. Koshy, former ex-Director of NID and DG & CEO of Apparel Training Design Centre graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest. He has been conferred with various distinguished awards and honors.

During the Ceremony President of IMS-DIA Rajeev Kumar Gupta and Kripal Mathur Dean, Faculty Members & students were also present.

The 4 year IMS-Design and Innovation Academy diplomas were conferred to the graduating batch of 2014 from all four departments, Fashion Design, Interior Design, Jewellery Design and Communication Design.

Congratulating the students on their success Dr. Darlie O. Koshy stressed on 7 sailent points of success, he said “Learning anywhere, anytime, Changing skills sets with a new mindset, Exponential technologies & productivity, VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) World, Creativity ethics and value, Mobility distance and challenges are the key point we need to keep in mind for sustainability and the success in the industry. We must be prepared for challenges and responsibilities in every way for success and need to b e a multitasker with good skills. If we do not get challenges in life then we will not be able to remain active."

Addressing the gathering, Dean Kripal Mathur delivered the welcome address giving the over view of IMS- Design & Innovation Academy and later conferred the oath to the graduating batch. The graduates all took the oath that they will fulfill their responsibilities keeping in mind the interests of the Nation and society.

"We all take an oath that we will faithfully fulfill our responsibilities keeping in mind the interests of the nation and society according to our skill and profession," students said in unison.

The campus was a scene of festivities and emotional moments with group photos, selfies, and celebrations. The family members of the students exchanged notes of the success of their wards and immensely enjoyed the convocation ceremony.
