TV Narendran Appointed As Chairperson For Board Of Governors At IIT Kharagpur

TV Narendran, the current CEO and Managing Director, Tata Steel, has taken on the role of the new chairperson for the Board of Governors at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur. 

With an extensive background spanning more than 34 years in the mining and metals industry, Narendran brings a wealth of experience to this position. His educational foundation includes a degree in mechanical engineering from NIT Trichy and an MBA from IIM Calcutta.

Virendra K Tewari, Director, IIT Kharagpur, warmly welcomed Narendran's appointment to the board. Tewari expressed anticipation for Narendran's adept guidance, creative ideas and encouraging support, all of which are deemed crucial in reshaping the institute to align with its future aspirations.
