Management Sciences College Gets NAAC 'A' Grade

Lingaya's Lalita Devi institute of Management Sciences (LLDIMS), offering BBA, B.Ed, B.Comm (H) and mass communication in Delhi has been accredited with ‘A’ Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

The Chairman of the Lingaya's Lalita Devi institute of Management Sciences (LLDIMS) Dr Picheshwar Gadde, Director of the LLDIMS Prof K.K. Garg and its Additional Director, Dr Pranav Mishra said that institute would attain more new heights in academic excellence. It may be noted that the NAAC in the second phase of assessment has given more marks to the institute.

The NAAC is an autonomous body funded by the University Grants Commission to assess and accredit institutions of higher education in the country. Institutes are graded from ‘D’ to ‘A’ based on various parameters. They inspect institutes based on certain patameters. After getting a satisfactory visit/results to the alloted institute, the autonomous body announces the results.

It is an outcome of the recommendations of the National Policy in Education (1986) which laid special emphasis on upholding the quality of higher education in India. To address the issues of quality, the National Policy on Education (1986) and the Plan of Action (POA-1992) advocated the establishment of an independent national accreditation body. Consequently, the NAAC was established in 1994 with its headquarters at Bangalore.
