IIT Kharagpur And Wiley Forge Open Access Deal

Wiley and IIT Kharagpur announce an open access agreement to enhance scholarly resources and research collaboration

Wiley has signed an open access agreement with IIT Kharagpur, a leading technology institute, to improve access to scholarly resources, effective from 2024, marking a significant collaboration between the two global research and learning giants.

The partnership with IIT Kharagpur allows scholars and researchers to access Wiley's journal portfolio and publish open access in over 1,300 hybrid open-access journals. Wiley has strong momentum in advancing open-access partnerships, having signed more than 100 agreements, covering more than 2,800 institutions around the globe. 

Dr B Sutradhar, Librarian, IIT Kharagpur, said, “IIT Kharagpur is dedicated to advancing open science and this agreement with Wiley is a significant step towards that goal. It will greatly benefit our researchers by enhancing the dissemination of knowledge and facilitating collaborative research.”
