Naveen Chopra, the visionary Founder and Chairman of The Chopras Group is widely recognized as the architect of higher education management in India, who dedicated his life bringing Global Education to the forefront of Indian students, parents and schools. The Chopras opened its doors in 1995 and introduced holistic career and education counseling to India. Over the years, Mr Chopra has taken global education to distant corners of India. The institution that he envisioned and built – The Chopras Group, steered a revolution and marked the entry of Career Pathway Planning concepts to India and this has been adopted by multiple schools across the country. Prior to forming The Chopras Group, Naveen has worked as an advertising professional in Mumbai and a financial consultant in London. He also worked as an entrepreneur in Sydney and developed a franchise network of Video Digest store in Australia before moving with his wife Natasha to India to set up The Chopras.
In 2000, at least 53,000 Indian students went abroad, according to a study on Indian student mobility by IIMB. In 2017, this number was 5.5 lakh, an exponential increase of over 900% as per data released by the Ministry of External Affairs in August last year.
