Yoga In School Curriculum To Create A Healthy Nation: Venkaiah Naidu

On this International Yoga Day, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu expressed his opinion saying that yoga should be a part of school curriculum as it would help in creating ' a healthy nation'. He participated in an International Yoga Day event at the Bandra Reclamation Sealing Promenade and talked about the importance of yoga in one's life. "The practice of yoga is important for positive thoughts. If it is included in the school curriculum, it is possible to create a healthy nation.  


Yoga also helps in getting relief from stress due to the changing lifestyles", Naidu said. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who also performed asanas at the event, said yoga, an ancient science was important in the modern day world. Youngsters needed to practice yoga for a good and healthy life, he said, according to Tribune India.
 Several government employees also performed various exercises at the yoga day event held at the state secretariat.


 Many other ministers also participated in the celebration of International yoga day held at different places in different states. All of them expressed their opinions about the importance of Yoga and how it can help in creating a healthy nation.
