The BW Education Future of Management Education Conclave witnessed an interesting panel on Hiring from Management Schools.

The session was moderated by Prasar Sharma, Group MD Technology, Euromax Capital Group. Among the panelists were Simmi Puri, Director, CISO Cybersecurity & Co-Founder, Easy Talent, Neetin Agrawal, CEO & Co-Founder, Dronstudy, Yashwent Nag, Founder, ThickShake Factory and Vishal Talwar, Dean, School of Management.

Simmi Puri while mentioning how to select the right candidate said, “The person should have the ability to learn quickly and adapt. It is the era of globalization and competition. The businesses today are very fragile. As a manager, it is important that you hire a candidate that will be able to learn the future skill set”

Neetin Agrawal rightly pointed out and said, “Once you hire the right person everything in the organization is set right. The mindset is more important than the mind. The ability to accept mistakes, learn from them and move forward is very crucial for any candidate. Mistakes should be seen as an opportunity to learn. We want to develop a culture of unlearning, learning and re-learning.”

Yashwent Nag said, “People feel entitled a lot because of the high rankings of their institute. They expect everything to be served on a platter. We want to hire people with the right attitude and also we do focus on EQ, which is very important for any candidate good performance.”

Prasar Sharma asserted that people need to be better prepared for automation, innovation, and technology so that it becomes easy to train them on the job.
