Microsoft announced the launch of the CyberShikshaa for Educators program in association with ICT Academy designed to ensure higher participation of women educators and women graduating students from rural geographies. CyberShikshaa is but one of the many ways in which Microsoft has been democratising access to technology.
To ensure that there is an equal representation of women talent in technology, Microsoft and SAP collaborated to launch a tech skilling initiative – TechSaksham, where we have been working towards bringing women engineers into the workforce.
Through TechSaksham, women students studying bachelor's and master’s courses in technology at government and government-aided colleges can access courses in web designing and digital marketing, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence (AI). In less than a year of its rollout, TechSaksham has benefitted nearly 2,500 young women students directly in 43 government-aided institutions across the states of Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.
