Singaporean fashion designer Tala Alamuddin has been awarded an honourary professorship by Amity School of Fashion Technology, Amity University Noida.
Divya Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity School of Fashion Technology and Amity School of Fine Arts, said, “Amity is offering many programmes to foster for internationalisation such as the three continent Programme and many others. Amity Institute of Fashion technology has grown immensely in the last few years and there are approximately 6000 students of Fashion Technology across all Amity campuses.”
Tala Alamuddin, Fashion designer, expressed, “It took me a long time to identify my skills, but it has been an incredible journey. The world is an oyster and I believe that human beings have the qualities of compassion and empathy through which they can always help the society. Everyone is unique and therefore they should be themselves and stay true to their core empathetic values. We all are one family and we must support and encourage each other in all our endeavours.”
Dr Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University, Uttar Pradesh, said, “Today, women are making their mark in every field and we aim for Viksit Bharat@2047, the first thing is empowerment of women, ‘Nari Shakti’. When the women of a country are empowered, the whole country becomes empowered. Tala Alamuddin is shaping the fashion industry and has taken it to new heights through her talent, skills and creativity.”
