T Koshy, CEO of ONDC and IIM Bangalore alumni, has been awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award for 2024. This honour recognises his impactful career and leadership in digital commerce in India

Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) has announced, T Koshy, CEO of the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), as a recipient of their prestigious Distinguished Alumni Award (DAA) for 2024. Koshy, an alumnus of the PGP batch of 1989, will be presented with the award during the upcoming Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) inauguration ceremony on June 10, 2024.


This recognition celebrates Koshy's remarkable career trajectory and his leadership in shaping the future of Indian e-commerce. Prior to ONDC, Koshy's experience in digital transformation included leading consulting practices at Ernst & Young (EY) on initiatives like Aadhaar, GST and CoWIN.


The award recognises Koshy's exceptional contributions to the field of digital commerce and his leadership at ONDC, a pioneering initiative aimed at democratising digital commerce in India. Under his guidance, ONDC has significantly enhanced the digital infrastructure, making it more accessible and inclusive for small and medium enterprises across the nation.


Koshy's journey from an IIM Bangalore graduate to a key figure in India's digital economy serves as an inspiration for the institute's current students and alumni. The Distinguished Alumni Award, one of the highest honours bestowed by IIM Bangalore, celebrates Koshy's professional achievements and his commitment to fostering innovation and growth in the digital sector.


The award will be presented by IIM Bangalore's Director during the inauguration event, marking a significant moment for the institution as it acknowledges the outstanding accomplishments of its alumni.
