Raghav Global School was awarded the ‘Best K-12 School for Green Practices’ at the 2017 edition of ‘BW Top Education Brands in India’ conference and awards that were held in New Delhi.
Established in the year 2014 with 3 centers already, the school chain boasts of covering around 75 percent of the campus in green area. “We have a sprawling 4.8 Acre campus. Our open learning areas promote nature based outdoor classrooms. It is an endeavor conceptualized and created to promote a love for nature and preservation of environment.”
There are various practices that are under taken by those at Raghav Global School to educate and inculcate a few green practices and approaches to the students. These include an Eco Warriors Club Mission Statement, for pro-environmental action to make a difference in their own lives and the lives of others in their communities and beyond by thinking globally and acting locally.
An energy audit is conducted every 6 months to overview as to how the school can reduce its energy consumption. Participating in plantation drives throughout the year is a must for students at Raghav Global School.
Conserving textbooks and waste paper for recycle and reuse is mandatory for those at this institution. Limiting food wastage is another step taken in this direction apart from growing their own vegetables and such.
