DU-JATMost students consider this the toughest as well as the most lucrative entrance exam within the undergrad management field. The level of Maths is of class 12 and so is the eligibility as students appearing for this paper need to have cleared the subject in 12th. Those who get shortlisted post this paper are further called up for an interview round. As per last year, there were a total of 100 questions with equal distribution among the 4 segments- English, Business Awareness, Quantitative Ability and Analytical Reasoning. There is a penalty of a third for incorrect attempt. This entrance exam opens up the path for some of the top colleges such as – Shaheed Sukhdev, Deen Dayal Upadhyay and Keshav Mahavidyalaya. This test includes applications for all courses under the umbrella such as BMS, BFIA and B.A. (H) Business Economics.

IPM-ATThis is the aptitude test which forms the basis for entry into the IIM-Indore’s 5 year integrated programme. There are only two sections in this paper- Quantitative Ability and Verbal Ability. The former includes 60 questions and has a sectional time limit of 75 minutes while the latter includes 40 questions to be finished within 45 minutes. This is an online paper and conducted across the country at various centres. The level of maths, similar to DU-JAT is of a substantially high level up to class 12, though as of last year there were no eligibility restrictions.

IPU-CETThe CET exam’s scores are valid for all the colleges that are affiliated under the Indraprastha University. More than five thousand seats are on offer across the dozen odd colleges within IP that offer the bachelors in management programme. Some of the best ones are Maharaja Surajmal, VIPS, JIMS, Maharaja Agrasen, NDIM, Fairfield, Banarasidas Chandiwala and Tecnia. There are a total of 150 questions asked which need to be answered within two and a half hours. These 150 questions are divided equitably between four segments- English, Reasoning, Maths and Management Aptitude.

SETWhile the name SET is common for all undergraduate papers, there is a separate test for its BBA programme. This is one of the few undergrad management entrance tests where no marks are deducted incorrect attempts. Thus logical guesses can often prove to be the difference. The level of difficulty is usually moderate as it is more of a speed test. Students will be advised to attempt as many questions as they can with good accuracy. There are a total of 150 questions divided between the 4 major segments to be answered within a generous time limit of 2.5 hours. Out of these 150 questions, there will be 30 for Reasoning and 40 each for GK, English and Maths. Success in this paper can lead to opportunities at any of the 3 branches of the Symbiosis University – Pune, Noida or Hyderabad.

NPATThis is one of the tougher papers within the broad undergrad management field. Only those students are eligible to sit for this paper who had maths as a subject in class 12. There are only 3 sections- Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability. The total paper is for 150 marks with 50 marks being per segment to be attempted within a time limit of 2 hours. The Narsee Monjee University (NMIMS) offers the BBA programme in both its Mumbai and Bengaluru campuses.

BU-MATThis is the main paper for entry to the Bharati Vidyapeeth (BVP) in Pune. There are a total of 200 questions asked with 60 each from Reasoning, Maths and English and another 20 specifically from Reading Comprehension. The time limit for the same is 2.5 hours.
