IIM Amritsar concluded a highly impactful five-day Management Development Programme (MDP) on “Nurturing Academic Excellence” for Principals and Vice-Principals of PM SHRI School Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) in the northern regions like Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana. This program is aimed at empowering school leaders to drive academic innovation and holistic development in their institutions.
IIM Amritsar has been entrusted with this responsible mission of training 52 school leaders by this initiative in partnership with The Navodaya Leadership Institute (NLI), Amritsar, spearheaded by the Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSEL), Ministry of Education, India.
The sessions, delivered by distinguished faculty members and industry experts, blended academic rigor with real-world relevance, addressing challenges such as digital integration, stakeholder management and value-based leadership in education. Participants lauded the programme for its significance and transformative impact, calling it “a benchmark experience” for school leaders.
Certificates were distributed to acknowledge the contributions of all the participants during the closing ceremony, where Nagarajan Ramamoorthy, along with Vartika Dutta and the esteemed faculty members, expressed hope that the learnings would enable these leaders to drive positive change in their schools.
This MDP reaffirms IIM Amritsar’s growing reputation as a leading institution for capacity building and its commitment to empowering educators to achieve excellence in the ever-evolving landscape of education.
