Indian Institute of Management (IIMA), Ahmedabad and FPSB India, the global standards-setting body for the financial planning profession and owner of the international CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification programme has announced a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch a series of capacity-building initiatives, targeted for professionals in financial planning & investment advisory services. Under the framework, IIMA and FPSB India shall initiate training programmes, conduct applied research and organise focused workshops for professionals on contemporary themes.
These initiatives are designed to equip working professionals and students with the essential knowledge and skills required to excel in the field of financial planning. The collaboration seeks to bridge the gap between practical learning and a skilled workforce in the domain of financial planning by bringing together the educational excellence of IIMA and the professional excellence of FPSB India.
The collaboration between FPSB India and IIMA is poised to set new benchmarks in the field of financial education and certification, empowering individuals to pursue rewarding careers as Certified Financial Planners while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. As part of the initiatives, IIMA and FPSB India shall organise a workshop on asset allocation and factor models for certified financial planners at IIMA campus in December 2024. The workshop shall focus on discussion of factor models and smart beta investing based on the experience in the Indian market.
