IIFT And FPSB India Partner For CFP Certification

FPSB India and the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch Executive and Regular PG Programmes integrated with CFP Certification. The MoU aims to enhance the financial planning education and certification process in India, which is home to 2731 CFP professionals and represents over 223,770 professionals worldwide.

These programmes are designed to equip working professionals and students with the essential knowledge and skills required to excel in the field of financial planning. The initiative seeks to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical application in the domain of financial planning.

Krishan Mishra, CEO, FPSB India, said, “As an alumnus of IIFT, I am particularly delighted to see this partnership come to fruition. This collaboration is to nurture the next generation of financial planners equipped with a globally recognised CFP certification."

Dr Satinder Bhatia, Director, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), emphasised, “At IIFT, we believe in providing our students with a holistic education that not only enriches their knowledge base but also empowers them with practical skills relevant to today's dynamic financial landscape.”

Additionally, FPSB India intends to recognise the short-term courses offered by IIFT as Continuing Professional Development (CPD) resources, focusing on topics such as leadership and executive development, will enhance the skill set of CFP professionals, further enriching their professional development journey.

The collaboration between FPSB India and IIFT is poised to set new benchmarks in the field of financial education and certification, empowering individuals to pursue rewarding careers as Certified Financial Planners while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
