How To Do Well In NEET 2020?

Entrance examinations have finally started taking place in India, and after JEE Mains, medical aspirants are gearing up for NEET 2020.  The entrance examination is held in India for students who are willing to take up different medical and dental courses in several government and private medical institutes of India. Students need to have critical and comprehensive knowledge to secure their seats and get admissions in renowned medical colleges by cracking this highly competitive examination.

Around 16.84 lakh aspirants have registered for NEET 2020 which is a huge number considering the number of seats that are available in 532 government and private medical institutes. 

Aspirants need to stay primed and composed to perform well in this competitive exam. With less than a week left for the examination, the students may be battling a lot of stress and anxiety.

Here are a few tips to ease the process of preparing for NEET 2020 -

  1. Learn, revise and practice- Having detailed knowledge about all the topics is very important that that will not happen overnight. Make a time-table and follow is religiously where you will be able to allot a special number of hours to each topic and work on your weaker areas.

  2. Don’t forget your strengths- Knowing your strong areas and being sure about them will not only assure maximum marks from the topics but will also help you work on your weaker areas. As NEET has negative marking, being sure about your strengths is extremely important.

  3. Pull yourself away from social media- Social media often serves as a big medium of distraction and can steal your study, or sleeping time. Engage yourself in productive activities during study breaks, or take energy naps.


Focus on your health- Exam stress not only lead to a lot of stress-eating but also a lack of sleep. A healthy mind and a healthy body are extremely important to provide maximum output on your D-day. Follow a healthy diet, stay hydrated, don’t overwork your brain, and get your night sleep for at least 7-8 hours.

Be familiar with previous year’s papers- Practicing the question papers of the previous years, and giving regular mock tests will help you get familiar with the exam pattern. It will also help you build your confidence, and judge your time management skills. Do not forget to critically analyse the errors that you made while solving the papers, or giving the mock tests.
