Congress leader Raj Rishi Panday was conferred with an honorary Doctorate award by Kings University, USA for his impressive work on the field of Public Life and Generous Social Service. The honor was presented by union minister for textile Ajay Tamta in the auspicious presence of veteran actor Raza murad and other dignitaries. The ceremony was organized in Samarat Hotel, New Delhi where Dr. Selvin Kumar, Founder and Chancellor, Kings University and Dr. Santhi Omagandam, Director, Kings University were also present and felicitated Rishi Pandey.

I am grateful to them for recognizing my contribution towards upliftment of society and public life. I would like to request all the youths of the country to participate in social service and change today’s social discourse. I believe that the youth of today are the flagbearers of change. I would encourage the youth to take the path less travelled, leverage opportunities along the way, and transform these into milestones.There is a large field for social service. One can serve the society to his heart’s content. We can help the poor, the needy, the crippled and the handicapped. This is social service. We can teach reading and writing to the illiterate people. We can try to bring about prohibition. We can educate the public to cast off their superstitions and blind faiths. We can try to remove untouchability. These are few works one can do to contribute towards building a New India”
Rishi Pandey has served the society in many ways, He was also acted as a Secretary at Center for Conservation of Health and Environment, New Delhi and organized widespread campaigns to make people aware of the environmental issues, its impact on their health and advocated the adoption of sustainable lifestyle. As a General Secretary at a city’s civil rights forum, he was instrumental in making people aware of their civil rights and encouraged them to fight for it. As Sanrakshak at Shristi Foundation, he worked to ensure free education for children, improve health condition of mothers, safeguard the rights of children and ensure safety of women at the workplace and at home. He was also chosen as Director at Bharti Foundation and held widespread consultation to improve their working condition, ensure their insurance and bring about a perceptible change in their lifestyles by assimilating them in their new surroundings.
