BW Businessworld Unveils Elite List Of Top 40 Under 40 In Education And EdTech

The Education ecosystem and educators form the backbone of a country’s economy. Education ecosystem in India is re-modelling and re-inventing to integrate technology and keep pace with the new social paradigms.  

BW Education 40under40 brings to you a list of the brightest young minds from the world of business in India. The list looks at unique business ideas and the people powering them. It is very dynamic and includes people from a range of industries. While each one may not have built a billion-dollar business but they have all built something new and different or simply changed the way things were done traditionally. 

BW Education 40under40 measures success, not just through money, revenues, valuations and profits but looks at innovative ideas. With India set to be the youngest country in the world, 40under40 list is an attempt to felicitate the young Co-Founders, CEOs, innovators and disruptors. 

The eminent jury was chaired by Dr Prof Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE. Other jury members included Dr Annurag Batra, Chairman & Editor-in-Chief, BW Businessworld & Exchange4media; Dr Punam Sahgal, Former Dean & Professor, IIM Lucknow; Dr SS Mantha, Former Chairman, AICTE; Lata Vaidyanathan, Director, TERI Prakriti School; Divya Lal, Founder & MD, Fliplearn Education and Vinesh Menon, CEO - Education, Consulting & Skilling, Ampersand Group.  

Out of the total 103 nominations that were received, 55 were shortlisted for the jury. The jury carefully scrutinised all these nominations and presented the top 40 young achievers.  

The winners were awarded today in a grand virtual event in the presence of the jury chair Dr Prof Anil Sahasrabudhe. 

Speaking about the BW Education 40under40 list, he said, “The story of all the nominees was inspiring and came from diverse backgrounds like primary school, high school, college and each one of them had created a niche for themselves in India and also abroad.” 

He congratulated and complimented the participants and the BW Education team for their initiative that will help in building New India. 

Dr Velumani, MD, Thyrocare advised all young achievers to keep up with their achievements and make sure that they are able to sustain their success. “If someone becomes successful at an early age it becomes a challenge to sustain that success. Young achievers face more stress than people who have reached a particular stage of their life,” he added. He further said that all these young achievers must remain focused to attain their life goals.

The list includes disruptors, educators and thought-leaders who are as young as 27 and 28. All these have made their mark in the field of education and aim to make a difference with their work.
