Axis Bank Foundation and Generation India Foundation have announced their collaboration to provide skill development training to 10,000 youths under Project AMBER. The Project AMBER (Accelerated Mission for Better Employment and Retention) is a joint initiative of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Generation India Foundation (GIF) under the aegis of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). This project aims to train 30,000 youths, out of which 50 per cent will be women.
"We are pleased to collaborate with Axis Bank Foundation on this important initiative," said Arunesh Singh, CEO, Generation India. "Our goal is to prepare young people for long-term, meaningful employment, and we believe that through this partnership, we can help bridge the skill gap in the Indian job market."

The training will focus on Retail, Hospitality, BFSI, Healthcare, and IT/ITES sectors, and will be conducted in various states, including Delhi, Rajasthan, Punjab, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Bihar.
