Amity University Honours 17,000 Graduates

Amity University Uttar Pradesh held its 19th Convocation for the Class of 2023, awarding over 17,000 graduates from various fields including Management, Engineering, Technology, Allied Sciences, Agriculture, Rehabilitation Sciences, Law, Journalism, Mass Communication, Fine Arts, Performing Arts, and Fashion Technology.

The Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR) and Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) have awarded Honorary Doctorates to several distinguished individuals, including Dr. N. Kalaiselvi, Secretary of DSIR, Dr. Bhaba Nanda Das, Cardio Thoracic & Vascular Surgeon at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, and Padma Shri Prof. Mahipal S. Sachdev, Chairman of Centre for Sight. Additionally, Dr. Rakesh Mahajan, Senior Consultant Endovascular and Vascular Surgeon at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, and Dr. Sanjiv Kandhari, MD & Consultant Dermatologist at Dr. Kandhari's Skin & Dental Clinic, New Delhi, have been awarded Honorary Professorships.

“Amity University, the number one institution in India and third in Asia, is set to become the top university globally. The country is a leader in science and technology, with a young and energetic workforce that will make it a leader in various fields. Amity is not just an institution, but a movement that has already started. The movement aims to make India proud, as the world looks at India. This is the century for India and Indians should gear up in science and technology. The mantra is ‘my best is yet to come’ and the movement is not just about achieving great heights, but also about ensuring that India's best is yet to come”, Dr N. Kalaiselvi, Secretary, DSIR (Department of Scientific & Industrial Research) & DG, CSIR (Council of Scientific & Industrial Research), said. 

“The most distinguished in the world and called on students to remember their parents' pains and show respect. He urged students to make a mission with sincerity and hard work, as Indians are the best in the world in terms of knowledge, intelligence and wisdom. He urged them to face challenges courageously and be ready to help others, as the entire world is one family”, Dr Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Education Group, stated.

DuringConvocation-2023, 232 Baljit Shastri Awards for; Best in Human & Traditional Values’, 24 Corporate Awards and 60 ‘Best All Rounder Trophies’ were awarded to the students. In addition, 380 PhDs, 692 academic medals and 72 Appreciation Certificates were also presented.
